So I have the film 'Hero' on.. and I truly must say, I'm reminded how entirely aesthetically pleasing this movie is. The colors are AMAZING. The music is fantastic. The fight scenes are almost choreographed. Amazing. Just one problem :
Dubbed.
I am now watching 'Hero' on MUTE.
HATE dubbing, I do. Nothing irritates me more. ..okay, I'm sure I could think of something.. but really. It irritates me muchly.
So, I went to Mall of America with 'Mama Jean' as I've decided to call her just now. We were looking at shoes.. and found a bit of nostalgia instead. We walked along, and my mom EXCLAIMED suddenly at the top of her lungs, "JELLIES!" Yes, that's right. Jelly shoes. You remember them. Don't deny it. Those ugly pink sparkly motherfuckers that made your feet BLEED. But you wore them anyway because they were fucking JELLIES. And that was neat.
Also. A tiny Asian woman said to me, "You are bery pritty girl, honey." Good stuff.
Mama Jean treated me to lunch at Famous Dave's. Any eatery that offers moist towelettes with every meal and dispenses paper towels at every table is the EPITAMY of class, really. GREAT food, though.
So my friend Marti just called specifically to tell me that I have apparently caused a fight between her fiance and his roommate. APPARENTLY, George (the roommate) thinks I am 'absolutely gorgeous' and wishes for Marti to arrange a meeting. Marti's fiance, John, REFUSED to acquiesce (dear bob, I LOVE that word..) his request on the grounds that, "she is too beautiful, too smart, and too good of a person for you, you DOG."
Let me just say : .... BWUAHAHAHAH. Oh wow.
Now hey.. that's ADORABLE for John to be all protective like that.. don't get me wrong. I just find amusement in it. I'm entirely flattered nonetheless, but I informed Marti that the fight need not continue as I am quite taken anyway.
Man. I've forgotten what I was going to say after that...
.. and so.. I'll wrap this up with another sketch or two (AGAIN with the lack-of-scanner...ness) ...

They did a segment on Jellies on VH1's I love the 80's hehe.
