I really hate this computer. I hate XP in general. I'll think the page has loaded, but it's like wait for it, wait for it....bam, wasted typing while it refreshes itself for no reason. I thought this thing was supposed to be fast?
My laptop's dying, slowly, and painfully. That's why I can't use it at the moment. I can't run scandisk, or defragmenter, or any of those other nice system tools that may actually fix it. And I can't afford another one. Who the hell has $2500 laying around? I sure don't.
Spring is in the air, and I have never been happier (generally speaking, I'm actually quite stressed right now). I'm all ready for summer. I have the bathing suit and everything. I just walked outside, and I can see grass! If it wasn't so wet I would roll around on it.
As per every school term, group projects have become my most stressful thing. We have phase 1 of a marketing plan due on wednesday, and I have yet to hear from two of the group members. I'm not holding my breath to hear from them either, because then I would pass out. Instead, I'm forging along on my own and doing most of the work. If I don't hear from them by sunday, I will ask the other group member to do one more thing, and I'll do the rest. I just don't understand how people can go through life having other people carry them. Do they really think that this will fly in the real world at a real job with a real boss? They'd have been fired by now.
Oh well, less competition for me.
Finally, I may be out of a job soon. My boss is very likely selling the store to the head-company-guy, who will probably clean shop. I will fight for my job though, because I do not want to be fired.
Question: I've been there for a year now, in the event that the new guy really does clean shop and wants me fired, can he actually go ahead and fire me without just cause? And if he does, do I have the right to fight it?

XP is awesome d00d, what are you fretting about? You got ad and spyware on there? Have you tried formatting the laptop and starting from scratch? I might just need a new HD.
I can't wait for spring either...I've got my camera ready, where will your lady friends be at?
Does your contract that you can be released at anytime? Downsizing is a just cause.
