This weekend was really good. Well, Saturday 6pm and after anyway.
We saw Monster, it was a really good movie. It's sad that that was actually someone's life, but I guess you don't really think about it when it's not your own.
I lost my Mars Volta CD, but I'm going to try the old paper-under-the-chair-trick to see if I can get it back. *crosses fingers* It's soooooo good for highway driving.
Did I mention Joe's really smart? He fixed my record player within 10 minutes of looking at it. I lub him.
My boss is probably going away over my reading week because he's like that. He asked when I'm available to work. My answer: I can't commit to anything but my regular shifts. I'm not going to let him take advantage of the fact that I'm not at school for one week to take off somewhere and leave me to work everday on my break. Not to mention that I'm hopefully getting my wisdom teeth out that week, if I can swing an appointment, and I'll need my afternoons relatively free so that if the need arises I can go to school and work on group projects whose deadlines are quickly approaching. He claims he's losing $2,000-$3,000/month, but that's hard to believe when he vacations so much. I just roll my eyes and shrug my shoulders.
I'd really like to take off for a few days this summer. Anywhere, as long as it's warm, quiet, and there's somewhere to swim.
I am so excited about this coming thursday-sunday. Thursday night is Chris's show in Oshawa, and I'm staying at Joe's after. Friday morning I work, but right after work I'm heading downtown to watch Joe get his tattoo done. Then I'm coming back home, and relaxing, and going to bed whenever I feel like it because I DON'T WORK THE WEEKEND!!! I get saturday and sunday off, and saturday is my birthday, but really I'm so much more excited about having the whole fucking weekend off. It will be joyous, oh yes. The week after I only have one midterm too, which is pretty sweet.
3.5 more days.......
