So here’s one:
The past couple of weeks have been interesting! I use(d) an app called Skout to find friends and possibly FWB here in Japan. While using it, I made a friend from Brazil, and we have been talking for over a year. One day, she texts me to say that she has a lesbian friend she would like me to text with, so I do! Very shortly after I begin speaking with my new friend, I invite them to come to the beauty pageant that I am Emceeing. They hit it off with my husband and best friend! We went dancing and now I am learning Portuguese.
This past weekend was also fun! I went to the gay district in Shinjuku with my bestie and had fun people watching and talking with the adorable bartenders for bout 10 hours before heading home. I took a nap at her house before driving home, as I was sleeping standing up on the train ride home!
Last night, we had a party to celebrate the crowning of the new beauty queen. We all went to sing karaoke and it was fun. I noticed that the vibe is completely different with that group as opposed to my usual theater clique.
Tonight, I will be going to see Spiderman with my husband. He and I had an interesting weekend that was spent mostly apart. He went on a date and I hope he will be seeing her again. My date is next weekend! It will consist of a night of Brazilian food, dancing, and who knows! I do know that I will have a blast, though!
