With the recent political events Abortion has come up again.. I have a few thoughts on this ..
ProChoice and ProLife is very confusing terms.... I am both.. I am ProLife in the fact that I am for life. I really don't like abortion, but it is a necessary evil. There are time when it is even necessary. When the woman's life is in Danger, a child who has been molested, or a rape victim. I'll even stretch it to a person who used birth control but it failed... but the use of Abortion as birth control is deplorable..I am ProChoice because of those reasons..
It seems to me that no one is looking at the middle.. it's all "Everyone should be able to have an abortion if they want it"... or "No one no matter what should have an abortion"... Too black and white for me..
In Obama's speech he said one thing that really hit me.. We shouldn't be discussing the abortion issue, we should be figuring out how to prevent all these unwanted pregnancies (not quoted word for word, from my memory). I agree whole heartedly with this. Many of those who are ProLife won't accept birth control as an option. It's abstinence or nothing at all. I think that's total bullshit! Not everyone in the USA is religious and not every birth control option is against the church's ideas..
At the beginning of Bush's regime I started a Propaganda campaign because I saw the extremism on it's way. Unfortunately It got put to the side once 911 happened. I was focused on other things.. But now I see it might be a good time for it...
It's very ProChioce (not pro abortion) the point is that the choice starts when you are deciding to have sex.
Birth control the first choice.....Abortion is the last choice...
Do I choose to have sex or abstain?
If I am having sex do I want a child from this union?
If not what can I do to prevent it?
What methods are available to me? and how effective are they?
If I am religious what methods does the church approve of?
I need to make bigger copies of these from my illustrator files. but if anyone is interested in spreading the propaganda let me know and I will send you files you can use.. I also think I might have to do some new ones as this debate has inspired me.
