2005 sucked and is still sucking. my two favorite holidays are Haloween and X mas. This Halloween I didn't dress up or go out, it may be the first one I have ever missed 
and now x mas is already sucking. Tomorrow is my work x mas party and I don't even care or want to go. Up in to my late 20's I would spend my xmas eve with my family opening gifts and nibbling on goodies. It was always so much fun... but this is now my 3rd xmas away from my family and it sucks. I'm getting really depressed. No fun nibbling on goodies all night and opening gifts on xmas eve... no sitting around with mom and baking cookies and peanut brittle. Just work and a ride down to La Jolla. Don't get me wrong xmas with my inlaws is not horrible, just not xmas to me, not the same at all.
My family is loud and joyful and his is much mellower and the holiday just isn't the same for them. My parents are in their late 50's and stay up all night playing final Fantasy with my sister and my brother in law. Xmas is about toys and play and food.
Oh well I can always look forward to New Years Eve. New Years day is our 19th anniversary of our first date. And I hope next year is better for everyone. 2005 just sucked for almost every one I know. it can just Screw off!
