Celebrating a genious

Today is the birthday (if he were still alive) of Nikola Tesla. If you do not know who he is, Tesla is one of the most brilliant minds of the last century. This guy was born in a place between Serbia and Croatia.
To him are attributed some of the most brilliant discoveries of the modern era in the context of electrical engineering.
He’s been one of the pioneers of the alternating current. Without him, AC/DC would be called DC/DC.
He imagined things such as wireless transmission of data, anticipating wifi. Tesla was a prolific mind, a good person. He did not care about money, but only about the results of his discoveries.

He worked for Thomas Edison, who is considered the father of electric lighting. But Edison has cheated him.
Edison commissioned Tesla to improve the continuous current generator. Edison promised Tesla a prize of $ 50,000 to achieve the objective. When Tesla claimed the payment, Edison replied: "Tesla, you do not grab the American sense of humor" and didn't pay him.

Of course, the problem is not the American sense of humor. It is not a question of nationalism: Tesla was a good person, and therefore he has been cheated by so many. For example, I am Italian, and one of the greatest geniuses in the field of electrical engineering was Guglielmo Marconi, known as the father of radio communications. Probably the true mastermind behind all this was Tesla. But the U.S. Patent Office chose Marconi, against all logic.

Tesla died alone in New York City, between 5 and 8 January 1943, at the age of 86. It was dirt poor and only after his death the Supreme Court of the United States recognized Tesla as the inventor of radio.

If we consider that Tesla was a person full of problems, the least serious of which obsessive compulsive disorder, we should all love him.

I have always considered the community of Suicide Girls as a group of sensitive minds and intelligence in above average (despite comments like "you're gorgeous" and "nice ass").
We will not be at the levels of Tesla, but at least a little 'we should identify with him!
