I had such an awesome day of teaching today! My students wrote six word memoirs. I wasn't sure how into it they would get. They're seventh graders, so they're temperamental. They loved it! I shared mine first (Painfully shy kid, happily shy adult). Then, I set them loose to write as many as they could. Before they started writing, they thought it sounded easy. Many of them realized that wasn't the case pretty quickly. I love days like this. It makes it all worth it.

One of my friends and I decided to make advent calendars for each other. I can't wait until she gets this.
