Thankfully and mercifully, 2012 was a far better year than 2011. I'm looking forward to a trend - that 2013 will be even better. I suppose I have resolutions, but they're more goals than anything.
Here's my list of favorite things from 2012:
*My trip west, especially Arches National Park in Utah.
*Finishing a ten mile race for the third time in four years.
*The movie Moonrise Kingdom.
*The following albums: Channel Orange by Frank Ocean; good kid, m.A.A.d cityby Kendrick Lamar; Kindred by Burial; The Idler Wheel... By Fiona Apple; All We Love We Leave Behind by Converge; Shields by Grizzly Bear; Cancer for Cure by El-P; R.A.P. Music by Killer Mike; Bloom by Beach House; The Money Store by Death Grips; Kill for Love by The Chromatics; Mr. M by Lambchop.
*The following books: Every Love Story is a Ghost Story by D.T. Max, NW by Zadie Smith, and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.
*Letters from my awesome friends/pen pals Felice, Finella, and SugarCunt. I cherish your letters and friendship.
*The reelection of Barack Obama.
