School starts again in full force Monday, so I've been enjoying the fuck out of my last week of summer break. Spent a fun day on Tuesday in Chicago with my awesomely sexy and totally fucking cool friend Amber. We mainly explored used book stores which ranged from one that had piles of books that were as tall as me (I'm 6'4") that could, at any minute, fall and crush me in a pile of literacy to one that was exceedingly well organized. I'm all abot organization, almost to the point of being anal, but there was something so damn fun about exploring a used book store that could be featured on the show Hoarders. We also went to Strange Cargo, one of my favorite stores. There is so much cool stuff there, including about 175 iron-on decals that can go on just about any shirt, bag, what have you. Some examples include MC Hammer, various WWF stars from the 80s, Cobra Kais, "Love is...trying to find something that rhymes with rim job", and the ever-classy "It's blumpkin time", which features a man and woman with a toilet in the background. Below are a few of my new acquisitions.
My favorite team, and my favorite logo (circa 1983)

Switchblade comb...how can you go wrong?

Jesus Christ!!

Pins!

Books!

I got to sleep in until 7:30 this morning, which really is sleeping in for me. I then headed to Oak Brook, where I was able to procure more awesomeness.
A parody of The Elements of Style by Strunk and White, which is one of my favorite books (I'm an English nerd, after all. Some highlights for improving your style:
Commas are fucking fun.
Don't join independence clauses with a comma. It's fucking lame-o.
Don't fuck up the coordination of number between subject and verb.

I heart sarcasm! Excerpt...Slacker - a term that attempts to graft an air of coolness onto being a lazy bastard.

Useful!

Magnets!!

I plan on sharing more excerpts in the near future!
