Sunday Night Snippets of Randomness
Sometimes life just gets to be too overwhelming, but there is nothing I can do but plow through. I've been through worse. I really do feel like I can survive anything. But god damn is it hard when I'm actually going through it. Of course, it's far easier - in retrospect. Luckily, I've had some very sexy woman to ogle on here to keep my mind off of things.
School starts in a week. I am extremely excited about getting back to teaching. This will be my 11th year, which I often find hard to believe. It's really nice having a job that I love.
My planned Star Wars marathon (only A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi) appears to be ill-fated, due to unforeseen events last week. That's a shame, but it's not like I can't do it during the school year at some point. That might even make for a nifty "sick" day.
At the beginning of the summer, I set a goal of reading 30 books for myself between June 9 and August 21. With less than a week left, I'm only on number 19. Oh well. It was a valiant effort. The best book I read this summer was Unbroken by Laura HIllenbrand. Fascinating, tragic, extraordinarily well-written and just unbelievable.
