I am still not certain how to describe the polarity of events experienced yesterday. I suppose the best thing to do is to start from the beginning and move forward.

Friday night I was planning on doing my homework and then retiring to bed relatively early in order to arise with enough time to travel to my first kite competition. As is the manner of...

Wow - congratulations on your kite competition! And good luck with the car situation. There's nothing worse than mechanical bummers - I had a flat tire tonight and it took an hour to change because the ground was so soft the jack kept sinking in. Not fun!
drchaos:
Hmmm. Sounds like some weird karma going on there. surreal surreal surreal Favorable in the long run, I'd say, but I can't trace all the implications. Hmmm. surreal

Let's see, the last week. Busy and building up in ecxitement almost too rapidly. With the small exception of the weather ebeing a bit difficult for flying the last few days it has been a perfect, exponentially rising experience.

- Spending time at the pub with a variety of friends and meeting a decent, though bit slow, bloke from Mayo
- my phonograph arriving and...

ah who cares anyhow? nobody ever remembers the validity of any of these holidays anymore. even Christmas and Thanksgiving and all that jazz. perhaps I'm just a holiday cynic. Except Halloween. Halloween is legit wink

Ooh, I cannot wait to hear your crazy story!! smile And thanks for the b-day wishes!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, my dear!

THE DANCING DIVA HAS RESPONDED

And to make matters better or worse, depending upon one's opinion of such matters, she was pleasent, playful, and exceptionally articulate(if that is the proper term for textual writings)

I only hope my return will be received in a positive manner.

Did I mention how much I love life and all...

The last few days have been an absolute blast..

The birthday party was just as enjoyable as the previous night at Satellite. With the added bonus of running into two friends I have not seen in some time, Shaun in well over a year and the other, Tonya, who I have seen more recently. Tonya and I have a peculiar relationship. I have had a...

I won't be back 'til 11:30 tomorrow night, otherwise I'd definitely come check it out! Sounds like fun to me. Enjoy the weather!

Last night was an absolute blast. I completely cured myself of my melancholy leanings. Well, I didn't do it all on my own. It was more due to some wonderful company and a great amount of liquor on an nearly empty stomach.

I was feeling quite well about myself before even leaving work, mainly due to the copious amount of compliments I was receiving on...

Still no contact from Sadra. I guess I am going to have to accept that there is no possibility of reconciliation, in any manner, betwixt us. It is a bit more than slightly disheartening, but I am accepting it. I really miss her though, just having a nice lunch together in the park, talking about nothing in particular and dozing in the warm sunlight.
But...

Any chance I could help you promote the downfall of the Mega-Entertainment Industrial Complex?

I'll see you Thursday night at Rory's then.

And remember (if you don't have other pressing business, like saving the world from imminent destructions by aliens surreal ) : Irish pub night Saturday at Napper Tandy's. That's Noel Foley's new bar, and it's next to Pinocchio's, on Moana just west of Kietzke. Festivities start at 7pm wink

I have been exhausted for the last few days. Not eating regularly combined with multiple nights of late drinking at the bar, has left me in a weakened state. And instead of correcting this matter right now (at 1:30 am local time), I am catching up with the last few days here. Which is not a futile project by any ruler, as this act helps...

Kites are too fun!! What did you do with Sam?

Being a Big Brother sounds like tons of fun! I might have to try. Being a Big Sister, that is. Why did you decide to join?

Anyone who lives in or near Reno needs to come out to The Satellite on Wednesday. The Ditty Bops are going to be performing. I will be there and there is a good chance that I will propose to one or both of these astonishing ladies. So if you woud like to see me in a perfect early 40's outfit and a goofy, puppy dog,...

How was the show last night?
drchaos:
Yeah, how was the show?

I stopped by, but I didn't have an advance ticket, and by the time I got there the show was sold out. frown I'm doubly disappointed frown frown because after checking out their web page, I definitely wanted to see them. Any girl like Amanda who eats fire and joins in singing British-Isles songs in three-part harmonies is my kind of girl. ( surreal Weird, I know, but true! surreal And you know it! wink And I'm proud to be able to say it! biggrin )

I've not found Boat Train on any of the Pogues albums I have or looked at in the store, unless it's under another name. confused Can you give me more definite info on where I can find it? Thanks.

Well the spritely young lady of my previous post was not feeling up to making an appearance. That aside I had a fun time at the bar. After returning from there I made an inquiry as to her availability to seeing a concert this weekend(Chris Isaak for those who are curious). Her response, which I received before leaving work yesterday, was to tell me that...

Spectacular. That, I believe, would be the defining term for my trip down to the bay.
That and wet, definitely wet.
So wet and spectacular. That about sums it all up.

I left Reno right on schedule at 8 am and made remarkable time, arriving at Berkeley around noon. I stopped at the marina there to get in a bit of flying, which actually worked...

In the morning I leave for San Francisco. I have a few stops I must do, but other than getting a new overcoat and a few albums for my bably brother I am going to be relaxing and enjoying the city until I get dinner and head over to the Interpol show. And once that is over it is just a few blocks from my...

I just returned home from my first time out with Sam, my Little. It is amazing how rapidly two and a half hours passed us by. We spent about an hour racing slot cars, a first for both of us, and that was even more fun than I had hoped. Afterwards we went to the park to try and get a kite up, sadly the...
