So, it's public and been reported to the LSE - the company I work for is being taken over.

Ho hum.

I have known for a few months but been unable to tell y'all because of Insider Dealing rules.

I am still undecided as to how I feel about it. I was made redundant in June 2004 as a result of the firm I worked for at the time being taken over. Last year it wasn't so bad - I got a large cheque, took the summer off and got a broker's job with someone else. Trouble is, broker's jobs are now few and far between and if I get given the boot this time around I won't necessarily be able to wander in to a job as easily, particularly if I am looking to keep the salary I am on at the moment.

Too many thoughts crashing around in my mind to formulate a sensible journal with a logical conclusion. But yeh, that's why i've been a little 'off' lately and rushed off on a last-minute holiday.

Incidentally, do you recall how you all worked reeeeeeeeeeeeally hard to secure me membership within the SGUK community? Well it appears I have been kicked out of it already. I have tried to gain access but get the usual 'Click here if you want to join' bollocks. I am too tired to give a damn at the moment but will kick up a fuss tomorrow. Or just go grey and let my membership lapse like everyone else seems to be doing.
