Everyone has dreams. SuicideDoggie's was about him fighting a wolf; one of the guys at work has had a recurring one about him being a jet plane and, to be fair, I do too - mine normally revolve around Keira Knightly and Winona Ryder with a king-size tub of cream.

Last night, however, things were different. Last night drempt I was being strangled by a ghost. It was so realistic I could almost feel the grey, scrawny hands around my neck and only awoke because I managed to muster a gargled scream which literally scared me awake. I spent the remainder of the night/morning/whenever it was cowering under my duvet and counting the seconds until my alarm went off to signal the start of reality.

In his journal a few days ago, SDog indicated that the answers were there to be interpreted by the dreamer himself rather than being a textbook response and so, rather than accept that I may have awoken some bizarre Dream Demon which has hereunto been locked away in my subconscious since I was 14, I have come to the following conclusion:

The spirit of my scanner is coming to me in my dreams and is trying to kill me in order to save it's own existance.

I believe the only way I can selfishly save myself is to destroy the evil being which is Lexmark X1180 and bury the pieces somewhere. The ancient Indian burial ground in St Ouen should do the trick - no one would ever think to look for the corpse of a scanner/printer that far out of town.

Thank you for your votes yesterday but I regret there is only one possibility. It's either the scanner or me; fight to the death. No eye gouging or pulling of hair allowed.
