My beloved work colleagues have been calling me PC recently.

Hmmm. "PC, so-and-so is on the phone for you".
Furthermore, whenever I address one of them they have taken to replying "....Yes, your Highness..."
Me? A Highness????
I only found out today what they were referring to:
PC = Prince Charming. It transpires someone has made an association between my long hair and the style of Prince Charming in Shrek. Quite literally, the only difference in style is his is blonde and mine is brown. Observe:-

this is the real reason you grew your hair out isn't it?
your lady friend certainly likes the long locks though, so i guess it worked.
And if I had to choose a way to get strep throat, then making out with Alex would be my very first choice
