Hello everyone, I am still on the mend, lots pf pain in my shoulder, and a constant out of breathless, that leaves me feeling like the need for an iron lung. For those not up to date I was in a hit-and-run colission while parked at a traffic light on my way home on the evening of the 21st April. I was left dying in the street by this person, I do mean dying, my lungs were punctured and I was beginning to drown. It was only till Sunday evening the 23rd that the only option left was to cut through my ribcage and insert drains to release the fluid to try stem the blood flow, that I was out of the woods. To those at the"Flora" ICU, I cannot express my gratitude, you took the embers of what was left of me and got that fire burning. I will always be at a loss to express just what a gift that is. To those of you on the site that have wished me a speedy recovery and kept me in the thoughts, "Thank You"
This whole episode has sobered me up, as you can well imagine, the things we hold so dear to us can be inane and the things that should be dear to us have passed us buy. What I mean is this.
