Yesterday I drove 7.5 hrs from the North Bay to LA.(I-5 needs more roadside attractions) I missed the bulk of the feast but I hadn't seen my mom since she was crying by my bedside in the hospital last march. I'd have been happy with pb&j. She's a good lady.
Hola LA. What will I do here? Laurel Canyon hike? Perhaps. Drinks in Silverlake or Hollywood with old friends? Maybe that. Turkey Sandwich? Fucking A. Tacos? Hope so.

Yeah, I found a couple of big boxes full of pictures and old records, including - this blows my mind a little - grade school report cards for my great grandfather, from Germany (a C in Penmanship? WTF, great grandpa?)
