I was speaking to my Folks last night about bullshit level. My pops saying that, "as you get older your bullshit level gets less and less until one day you're walking on it and it doesn't even touch you." I can't wait.
My most recent tattoo, a blue heart on the inside of my left for-arm jumps at me a llot lately. Every time I find myself in a situation where I have to deal with someone's bullshit this little image starts shouting. I'm becoming less and less tolerant. I'm over any kind of rudeness, antagonization, or disrespect. People need to get called out on their idiocy, especially when its self-righteous, ignorant, hypocritical, and assumming.
I've let tons of shit slide, and been very patient with some of the people in my life for a long time. Its not water and I'm not a duck. Nonconfrontation leads to passive aggression. I'm sensitive to aggression and get bothered by bullshit. So dismissing my initial reactions to asshole's antics isn't benefitting any of us. I'm taking a more proactive approach. I'm passing out pieces of my mind.
If they're with me they'll value my thoughts and listen. If not, I'll release them from any more of my time and they'll know why. As long as I can maintain a standard of tact and diplomacy without insulting or raising my voice, it should be a progressive strategy for honest, straightforward communication.
Wish me luck.

Good luck. Not more bullshit tolerance for you!

That's the key, knowing when and how to say "piss off", in a nice direct way and then walking away. No one should have to put up with anything they don't want to put up with, it's their right to walk away.
