my dog is officially illegal today, i could go on about the arguments and cases, but it's no use.
someone else is doing that for us all.
all i have to say is ontario's fear of pitbulls is congruent to the fear of sharks. ya it (dog bites) could happen.
it doesn't matter how rare it is. it'll still get all the publicity. it's the visuals that stick with people and make the headlines.
i'm pretty sure statisically there are other breeds that do way more biting, talking about sharks and pitbulls here.
but those will be dismissed as an accident or whatever.
the main case i've heard for it, is that they're associated drug dealers and gangsters who use em as guard dogs to keep the cops away. or that they bite little kids. but those gangster and tough guys are most likely gonna find a diffrent breed to well... breed. and that new breed will be the new standard.
i'm way more terrified of german shephards, those bitches are scary. so stop this, 'they're bred to fight, it's in their blood' well same applies for humans too. it's all about how they're raised.
so now i can't take my dog for a walk without a muzzle. which is not too big of a deal, but also there's ridicolous fees you have to pay for registration, neutoring and other licences. if there was ever a case for social cleansing this would be it.
it is totally discriminatory and it all started because of some white lady's fear of one dog.
oh and speaking of, to top things off. my dog doesn't even have to DO anything, in fact it doesn't even have to be a pitbull. but by LAW, if it looks 'fearsome' or 'intimidating' to anyone, that person can call the authorities, and with no warrant or anything, they're allowed to come into my house and 'use whatever force necessary' imagine having that law against your pet.
even if they're innocent, if some random person with a grudge makes some bullshit excuse, it's valid enough for them to bring the swat team over. and use whatever force against both my family and my pets.
