Why Kill Big Bird?
Mitt Romney and the Republicans have a lot of ideas I disagree with. On a personal level, I think Romney did an alright job in Mass, but it would appear he has taken leave of his senses and has some high ranking republicans hand in his ass.
This whole PBS budget thing is crazy. Sesame Street teaches important values that a lot of kids don't get from their parents or teachers (even if you think they should be, they're not) Sesame Street taught me the value of playing fair, of being kind and helpful, and to love each other. I still watch Sesame Street clips on the internet, and if Tina Fey, Robin Williams, Buzz Aldrin, David Beckham, Batman, Beyonce, C3P0, Ray Charles, Steven Colbert, Cher, Andersoon Cooper, Anne Hathaway and Ice-T (and hundreds more) can take the time to guest star on Sesame Street, can't we as a group of voting americans see the value?
There are some things that every single person should support. Teaching children the difference between right and wrong, teaching children not to be afraid all the time. That's valuable to me. And that is one of reasons I cannot support Mitt Romney.
Killing Big Bird would give generations to come a huge disadvantage; one they deserve. That's my opinion.
