Finally get a chance to log on and update properly.

Ok, so I get this call waking me up at 7:45 Thurdsay morning. I am thinking what the hell?? Who's calling me this early? I answer and it's a guy calling from a contracting/temp agency and they want to know if I am still looking for a engineering job. I said that I was (I was thinking HELL YES I AM!) They are looking for people to go down to Huntsville, Alabama. I was like uh...ok. Then he was said, "Oh yeah, if your hired, you would need to be down here in about 2 weeks." I was . Then he started asking if I had anything tying me down here (Girlfriend, family, etc.). I told him I didn't have anything tying me down here. So anyway, I talk to him for a few more minutes about some of the details and then end the conversation. I hang up the phone and sat there for a few seconds trying to absorb all this when he calls back. He says his boss wants to talk to me. So I talk to the boss for a few minutes and he's talking up Huntsville like it is the best place on earth. We discuss a few things and then end the conversation.

So at this point I am scrambling to send them a recent resume and then get ready to go to work (at this rate I'll be late). Luckly, a friend of mine was able to help out with the resume (we had recently updated my resume).

I started thinking about all the stuff I would have to do before I went to Alabama. Hmmm... that's a lot I have to do. I have to figure out what to do about my stuff here (store? sell? give away?), what to take down there, how to get down there, what to do about the volunteering I do, my job, and so on. I then started thinking about the cool people I recently met that I wouldn't really get to know better (and no more Wed. night karaoke! ) I decided that this is a good opportunity for me and I should pursue it. I figured that I could always meet some new people thru SG!

At this point I am waiting to hear back from them to see if I should start packing.

Any advice for the situation?
