After moving to Brisbane in 1988 from Sydney, i've lived at home all these years with my family/parents. At the end the of last year it was announced I'd be moving to North Queensland, Mackay to be exact for work.
Living on my own for the first time in my life will be fun, exciting and challenging but i'm looking forward to it.
I'm now just under 2 hours south of Airlie Beach and couple hours from the Great Barrier Reef, which I would think everyone or quite a few have heard about. I'm also quite close to the Daintree rainforest which is another landmark to visit while up here and can't forget Whitsunday Islands.
I'll be up here for 12months at the minimum, hopefully I could stay longer otherwise I could be moved back to brisbane or another site around Australia.
Going to be fun working with people on site and meeting heaps of new people. New friendships and who knows what else.
