Ahh, sweet essence, I felt your arms last night as they held me tight. All the fear that I had was so gone, vapourised in the those moments of embrace.

I think of you every moment, wishing to hear that sweet voice. I love listening for the little inflections in your tone, most often making me smile. It soothes one's soul to know that they can pick out the little ways that you are feeling from that.

I can tell when you are happy, I can tell when you are upset and trying to hide it. I love that you think that you shouldn't show me your true side. Open a little and I see the world when I am with you.

I only wish that I could help you see the world through my eyes, and learn what I feel inside. How I yearn for those moments by you. Where the day is so empty and void, because that which fills is so far away from me right now. In the ebon of night I see the light shining up above and know. You see the same thing, you look at it too. It is the same sky that we sleep under, distance is only what holds us back. I dream of you, hoping, seeing, feeling, and remembering what has transpired in our lives. Always separated, but not for much longer...soon I shall join the ranks of there.

Oh, I wish was there right now, swimming in the deep pool of emotions with you. Sipping on a glass of wine hearing the whispers of the night with you. Looking upon the lights of the city, seeing the others that are out there trying to enjoy the same.

mratomic:
I know the 70s Marvel stuff wasn't particularily rated by Kirby conniseurs but when it came to deconstructing them the almost cubist power of design coupled with the boldness of Mike Royer's inks made them invaluable.
The Eternals, Machine-man, 2001 the whole bloody lot just blow me away.
Despite the fact that I'm more comfortable painting on canvas these days, the cheap paper and printing quality (or lack thereof ) in the old comic books is something still almost magical to me.
