i missed a dep meeting today. it wasn't mandatory, but the group was going to go to fleet week. as a navy recruit, this is a great opportunity, and i really wanted to do this, but i had school.

i share a car with my father since i'm too lazy to work to pay for my own. the keys were not in the ignition. i searched all over the car, all over the house. my father had no idea where they were either. i finally found them in his bag and left the house 20 minutes late.

on the way to the campus, i realized how low on gas i was. when i reached campus, my gas light came on.

my teachers were not there.

i realized then, that in the confusion that morning i had forgotten my wallet and phone.

i turned back and started to drive home, the gas light still burning bright.

i got home, though. barely.

fuck colombus day.


in other news, i think i'm going to go collect job applications today. will i fill them out and turn them in? maybe. i also think i'm going to drop 2 of my classes. it's late enough in the semester now that i'll get a big "W" on my transcript but whatevs. i still have to check with my recruiters to see if that's okay, though.

actually, the day ended on a high note. i just spent the whole afternoon uncomfortably sitting next to my best friend and teasing her about her boyfriend. good times. now i'm stuck gnoshing on croutons and am about to watch hostel. anyone care to join me? them's some de-licious croutons.
