gunshots outside the window, just across the street. muffled slightly by the wind, they drown out all sound, truly recognizable only by the hesitant silence afterwards. even when it's safe to, i still don't blink.
i tried writing some today, was instead distracted by candyman: farewell to the flesh (swoons for tony todd), the dead pool (swoons for clint eastwood, as well), and game 6 (swoons for robert downey jr or bebe neuwirth in lingerie? hard decision). i swear we own a copy of the others, but it's missing. i ended up watching a few hours of "law and order: svu" instead.
also played the dead rising demo from live today. god damn, i want the whole thing!
it's been at least over a year since i've purchased a cd. that may end, though, since it's horribly hard to find azure ray on bit torrent. i already own 2 of their cds, but i still need 2 more.
world of warcraft still does not work; it's citing a 132 error, which could be caused by anything from faulty RAM to outdated drivers to other start-up programs. in other words, who knows? there's a stockpile of RAM in the house, about 5 to 6 gigs, yet the clunker can only support up to 2gb. so, i've tried every stick there is, doesn't make a difference. ran diagnostics, still no difference. tech support will be getting a call on monday.
heard from one ex-girlfriend who wanted a callback. she reminded me of another ex-girlfriend, who i'm slightly tempted to call. met her when i lived in arcata, but she's from the east bay area. "movie star" hair that swam like ink in water, blacker than a starless night. lips that gloomed, though she never did. wearing only her yellow sun dress on my studio's balcony, her nipples pouting slightly in the cool ocean breeze. she was never too affectionate, yet we were always passionate. as she did then, she still haunts my dreams.
to do list:
-get hair cut. a mullet is starting to brew.
-buy books for school.
-sell truck. get used to driving station wagon. but hell, it's a subaru, so it's anything but a boring station wagon.
-call amanda.
-call anondah.
-call elizabeth.

Man you sound just like me. Sept i'm waiting for my burritos to finish in the microwave, then i'm gonna get a little sober while i play warcraft. This endless cycle is annoying as hell isn't it? Sept you don't have orders to Kuwait looming over you ever conscience reality of a drunkin stupor. BAH! FTN man FTN(fuck the navy). I know deep down they really mean that i'll show up in Kuwait and be shuffled to somewhere else, Iraq or af. So i enjoy this life while i have it. Make friends i know will forget me when i get back. And pretend everything is ok, when deep down its not. So much for the American dream, soldiers change every time they leave, and so will i. I just hope my dreams will remain the same. But then again i'm drunk.
