I made it to all of my classes today. I know it sounds like no accomplishment, but I felt sick most of the day and it was raining so the fact that I rode my bike to school in the rain just to go to class impresses me.

I met this cool girl in my program today. I have met her before because with the same forty people in every class you have you tend to meet them, but I talked with her for the first time. Her name is Daphnee and she is from Haiti. She seems like one of those genuinely happy people who just kind of radiate joy or amusement. Not in that irritating "I'm stupidly optimistic way" but more along the lines of the "I'm not going to let stupid shit bother me" way. I'm happy because now I have a friend in the only class that I didn't have friends in. Maybe if I'm really really really really lucky, she will like me as more than a friend, but I don't care enough to try to force it and fuck things up as they are now.
