Well what a fucking day it has been, but I have come out victorious.
The shitty thing is the customer refused to pay me for my time, and I had to pay to unload the truck, it cost me 447.04 at Dundalk to unload the steel and leave it there. it cost me another 52.00 for the permits I had to buy, and a day of lost time.
The load was going to pay me $1,412.00 to go to Chattanooga Tenasee, and I would have had to sit there friday saturday and sunday, to unload monday, I found another load that is going to Miami with 4 stops paying me $2,187.00 on a legal load. Not an oversize like the one I gave back. Now if you take the $447.04 & $52.00 out of that I am still making $1,687.96.
Now since I would have had to pay for permits either way, that means I would have only made $1,360.00 on the oversize load, so in all actuality, I am still making $327.96 more over the weekend, and I dont have to tarp this other load!
So in essence I got paid $327.96 to tell those incompatent pricks to go fuck themselves.
It is a beautiful day! I had better go get loaded!
