Opinion poll time. I just came from the painters, we are looing at what all my Cutlass needs and what color scheme it will go into.

Thus brings me to my dilema. I am going to have huge ammounts of dough burried in the engine, transmission, rear end, suspention, and the body work. I found a color that I absolutely love. It is a shade of gold that flips silver. It is totally what I am looking for on this car and would look absolutely wicked with the flat black racing stripes that I want to do. The catcher is this, this color is one that is no longer being advertised for distrubution, it came from a chip book that is more than 7 years old, but it just so happens that they still make the components for this color to make another color, so I could easily get my hands on it, but it is not a color anyone else is going to use for the general distubution of it has been discontinued. So the likelyhood that I will ever see another car painted this color is extreemly low. This would make my car truly a one of a kind. The thing is though, it would cost 1500.00 more on top of what would have been spending, so my 10,000.00 paint job would now cost 11,500.00. and the car will come out of paint this time next year. If I dont go for this color, I am going to go for gloss black, which is a cool color but is rather ordinary.

So the question to you all, Do I go for the gold, or do I save the 1500.00 and stick to basic black?

Edited to add:

The paint would be a cross between the colors of these two cars and shift back and forth.
