i was just listening to PE a little earlier today.
i feel that. i believe that we're encasing a piece of god, thus killing each other is killing god. killing life. people use 'religion' to justify the things they do, which sucks. if you're a godly person, you're not going to be inclined to kill, instead you'll offer your hand to assist (you don't see george bush getting his hands dirty; in fact, he's prolly got someone there to wash the dirt off his hand after he puts down the pen he used to write his pro-war intolerance speech. oh wait, he doesn't even do that. what does that bitch know about getting dirty?)
at this point, i've come to the conclusion that the generalized perception of religion is less about one's connection with god, and more about one's connection with the church (or other place of worship.) therefore, people do the shitty things they do, follow orders made by their 'godly' mentors, and make sure to show up to church on sunday so god knows that they're 'in-tact'. bleh. it's sad that most people don't get down with the spiritual, metaphysical, [and most importantly,] ESSENTIAL elements of god and religion.
