busy busy busy busy
Haven't been around all that much these past couple weeks. Relations with N continue to progress nicely. Realized the other day that we've been dating for a month. Time flies.
I won an award at the Del Mar Fair for a short animation I submitted to the Student Art Showcase. Went to an incredibly boring breakfast and got a piece of paper but no ribbon (the ribbon comes later). This was disappointing as I had hoped to get a couple pictures of myself wearing my ribbon and standing next to the various prizewinning livestock.
I'm working on a short music video for my class. Have to decide whether to use a song I like (which is good) or a song I cobbled together (which may not be so good, but gets points for being original). Don't have a lot of time for this project though. We are using Final Cut Pro, which is a Mac only dealy, so I can't work on it from home.
Went to see Romy Kaye's last performance in San Diego. At the end of the month she's off to New Orleans. I'm sad to see her go, but I suspect that town will be better for her career.
Side note: I'm sitting here looking at a poster from "Say Anything", and I just realized that I had that exact same boom box when I was in Junior High. Didn't look nearly as cool with it though...
