I'm back in Edmonton now and life is swell. School starts tomorrow but it doesn't really bother me that much. Not much else to say as I've spent the last week or so just killing time and relaxing which is a nice change from working. I recently picked up an album by a band called Wolfbrigade. It's a good album; crusty melodic hardcore from what I've gathered..band used to be called Wolfpack but changed their name because there was a Neo-Nazi gang with the same name. I picked it up at Octopus Ink which is the best and cheapest place to buy real punk (none of this pop "punk" garbage that is polluting the airwaves these days) in Edmonton and pretty well anywhere else I've been. They have a shitload of vinyl as well and a decent selection of metal. Fuck HMV and support some local businesses. I also picked myself up a wicked new set of headphones. They are Grado SR80's..really old school looking but great sound. Oh yeah one more thing..I now completley hate International Stereo. They're a bunch of patronizing bastards who actually get mad at you when you don't impulse buy. One guy there gave me a quote for speakers and a reciever and actually got mad at me for saying I was going to shop around. He got all snotty and said "You must have alot of time on your hands". This annoyed me greatly...first he gives me a quote for double the price I said I was looking at spending then he complains when I say I'm going to look around some more. Dumbass..they're speakers are overpriced and not that good..avoid that place like the plauge.
