You first what now?

Did you get a new car?
manchester_black:
I always want to know the answer, it almost enhances my enjoyment if I know how things are going to end up if only to see the journey that brings things to that point

So yeah... my dream last night... I went to have my car dyno'd, results on the sheet were exactly as if I had just got it chipped... and for some reason my dad was there acting like a beligerant asshole and was trying to tell the people there how to run their dyno safely.

Things we can learn from this:

1) Reading the tdiclub.com forums...

Rock.
tank is back in the rack with apoc, and they've been joined by dozer, my new xen box.

I've got most of my shit rebuilt, transfering my email back to the proper mail server. Things are playing nice and I'm breathing easy again.

Now once the dust settles... maybe I can make some money of all this.

I'm in Europe from May 9th to June 12th. Thus, a get together now. Then when I'm back...we have Canada Day in July which I ASSUME will be a party here again anyway. We could plan another August thing though...I'd love to come up there at least; would be lovely if someone else would actually show too!

So I've been back for a week and frankly, this place is teh suck. Though there is the part where I have my loving girlfriend here, as well as a couple of employers that seem to appreciate having me around. That's got to count for something, eh?

I'm going to see the UAMC perform tonight at the Winspear, it should be a good time. Then...

Well everyone, I've got today to contend with, but the week has been like nothing I expected.

Not necisarily worse.... just a lot of unplanned shit. Yesterday was a write off, so I get to make up for that today, then I'm getting the hell out of here.

Spending the holy day in Victoria, I'll catch you all on the flipside.

Presumably Victoria was excellent. A teeny vacation is an excellent cure for a general messed up week.
aspasia:
Victoria! O I am jealous of the weather.

Alright week... you won't like me, and I wont' like you. But I don't care. We've got shit that needs to be done, and we've only got 4 days till the holy day. We got a lot done yesterday, and that was pretty cool. But we've still got a long road ahead.

Suck it the hell up and save the suck for next week!
zenfish:
hah.... ahh zee drill sagent talk with zee veek.

you vill lose!

(think of this in a german accent, it sounds much better)
tilpacer:
How come I think the week would have interrupted you and said, "But I like you!". Or is that from my inter sitcom writer? Hmmmm

Kick the crap out of the work that needs to get done this week! biggrin

The machines are winning

So first thing this morning I can't hit the mail server for work. Not a good way to start the day. Dead PSU.

I was staging a new hard drive for that machine anyways, but I was hoping to have some more time to test things.

Long story short, the machine is up and running, that new drive/OS is in there,...

So I dumped my oddly large number of free hours this evening into Katamari Damacy and FF7.

I could've spent the time fighting with the server virtualisation I'm attempting on the server I'm re-installing.

I could've spent it reading more into 2k3, or checking on this for work, or continuing to catalogue my pile of hardware, or fixing MythTV or any number of other things....

Yeah... trust me, I've tried. It's not working too well.

And oddly enough, the only time I've actually lived on an all ramen diet was back in Alberta when I was going to U of A. Oh god... what a horrible sodium filled month that was.

tilpacer:
Katamari Damacry! love love love That game is awesome. biggrin

You should spend sometime every now and again doing things that make you relax. Otherwise you are going to burnout and not be able to work any more.

Have a great day! biggrin

So uh... update? Hmmm... I have tasty bread and I'm cleaning my room.

I just explained to my brother how to use a click track when recording and I'm now out of bread. Room is still messy though.

I have too many computers here. But I don't know what to do with all these parts. I'm such a fucking pack rat. Maybe I need more...

I guess it depends on what level of tinker you're talking. Anything that requires more than a Phillips head screwdriver to physically install would be out of my league.
I'm in the market for some RAM and a better video card, but I don't know if you want to truck that all the way down to Calgary.

freakpirate:
I could use a second hard drive...

Nekkid girlies in the morning always seem to make my day go a lot better. I don't know why I fell out of the practice of checking SG before I go to work... it's probably because I never get up early enough.

But today I did, and have, and my mood is greatly improved.

Proof that SG makes the world a better place.

Woo hoo to Nekkid girls! biggrin

Yes, but the girl doesn't like me with less hair. And really... as far as sex is concerned, less is not more.
