So I finally read this years page of adventures on your website. Wow, you are really going for it. Sounds like great fun.
My story goes:
Met my honey about 4 years ago. We were both making good money in steady jobs. He was a website builder and was laid off during the bust. At that point he decided it wasn't worth continuing that career because he hated it. He has since been going full force to getting a marine biology degree, because he wants to study...SQUID (I know, it's totally random_his username was squidvicious on here).
Anyway, he was my inspiration to figure out what I really wanted/needed to be doing with my life. I started asking the questions of what I was passionate about and what work would be fullfilling to me. I started to pursue adventure therapy work...like Outward Bound type stuff. Interestingly, that lead me to Boulder where I met a girl who recommended a book that changed my life. The book was called the Gift of Dylsexia, and little did I know that I was dyslexic and so was most everyone in my family. Since then I've been pursuing my license in becoming a dyslexia facilitator...teaching people skills to deal with their perception.
Finding all of this out, correcting and understanding my dyslexia, has opened many doors for me. It's been a wild ride too. I'm still not sure where all this is taking me but it's been way more interesting than doing the 9 to 5 and being secure.
The boy is talking about buying a boat and sailing around the world. I'm not sure where we'll get the money, but I think that might happen in the next 5 years or so. He also wants to move to Australia or New Zealand so that may be in the cards too. I can't wait to see what happens.
