I've thought about a lot of different entries recently, but, to be honest, I've been a little sick and a little working very hard, and a little bored overall. I'll get over it.

Someone I talked to a couple of times left the site recently. She wasn't a 'friend' only because I don't actively ask for friends. But she was someone I checked on occasionally.

I'm starting to understand why some people leave this site, though I completely agree that posting about leaving is (usually) a cry for attention.

Some elements of this site encourage a transitory existance... and come across as a popularity contest. I usually don't ask for friends.

I think I'll be okay (about staying). I not only loooove naked girls, but my ego and self esteem isn't based on how many friends I have (both in 'real' life and here).

I used to work at a company that had an active boards life, that was encouraged as part of the work day. It was a company of over 500 and since most of the time I was on the phone and all of the time I was on email, I was quite well known. Though I didn't know it. Until I left. And months later I ran into someone that still worked there and they said 'remember how you used to say 'bite my ass' all the time?' And I did.

'Well, your ass still comes up in the threads'.

My point is, while I'll admit it's nice to be popular, but no one really knows how they affect other people's lives. I have no idea how many people check this or know who I am based on my random, scattered posts. I don't ask for friends, you see.

I spent a month in Current Events, a couple days in Dirty Talk, a time in Lifestyles, whatever. I bounced in Louise's journal (including a follow-up to my recent age post), Gwen's journal, Flux's journal (three girls that besides being super fucking hawt, I think I would get along with in 'real' life) and a couple of member's journals. I posted a long entry about the actual goddess Persephone, then decided the SG version was pretty fine as well. Whatever stikes my fancy.

But if I ever leave, no one will know... aside from the few official friends I have.

And I'm sure someone out there I don't know ... will occasionally wonder what became of me. Because neither one of us got around to asking each other to be friends.

And that's okay. Because we all affect other people's lives. But how... we'll never know.

If I want to believe in that whole hog, I think I have two or three planets floating around in it. Leads to a nice sense of organization sometimes....
