It's incredible how some people have just got to get the last word in a conversation, long after they've lost interest in the conversation itself. The main symptom of this syndrome is that they start asking you for 'clarification' and 'citations' on things that you have repeatedly stated in clear terms and provided multiple sources for. You can't even lay out pure, unadulterated opinion, because they'll just go back and ask you 'what you really meant'. You sit there and say "X! X! The letter between W and Y! X! Fucking X!" over and over again. And when you get sick of it and walk away, they finish with "Well, don't be mad, I just wanted to know if you meant X."
