So, I definitely recommend watching Chugyeogja (The Chaser). It's a great flick from South Korea, about a dirty ex-cop who comes up against a serial killer. It's a sparse move about terrible things, excellent in terms of writing, acting, and directing.

I don't, however, recommend watching this movie on Christmas morning.

Really not sure why I'm awake right now. Didn't sleep at all yesterday, finally crashed four hours ago... and now I'm awake again. I'm certainly not fully rested--I went downstairs to make a cup of hot cocoa and forgot what I was doing three times.

For immediate release: Starship Troopers 3 is the worst movie ever. Why did I watch that? What's wrong with me?

Don't feel too bad about those lost hours. I recently decided to go ahead and attempt Superman IV.

I painfully watched the entire movie...ouch!

On a totally different movie...I recently came upon "The Last Winter" on netflix and I really liked that, have you seen it?

I just woke up from the most epic dream ever. I dreamed I was a car insurance investigator, and I got teamed up on some sort of international exchange program with the sun, who was from England. Only when we went out to investigate insurances together (!?), the sun whipped out dual 9mm pistols and shot up his car because he'd gotten bad insurance. So...

So my housemate and I ended up with the wishbone from the Thanksgiving turkey. As is traditional, each of us grabbed a side, made a wish, and pulled. Instead of splitting one way or the other, the fucking joint popped off and ricocheted around the kitchen at high speed, nearly taking out my eye in the process. We were left each holding an equal-length stick...

I think I've mentioned before that high fructose corn syrup does bad things to me. My muscles cramp up, I get headaches, and if I eat enough, it's hard to get out of bed for the next day or so. And, I mean, it takes a fair amount--not like I eat one Little Debbie and get laid out. On the plus side, that's pretty much...

I'm taking some bagua classes in an effort to learn better control. I had a recent realization, which in hindsight is really obvious: strikes, blocks, and the like should be measured. Not necessarily precisely--you don't need to punch with the same force every time. But my tendency up until recently was to hit as hard as I could every time I hit. And when I...

Uhhhhhoooohhhh.

The guy I was sparring with last night tried to trip me over his shin, which I countered by holding my stance; the result was that we whacked shins really hard. It hurt, but we kept going--and then, two minutes later, the same thing happened. It hurt so bad that my calf and thigh almost cramped. I dotted it up with some tiger balm...

I used to look back at my past antics and wacky hijinx and think, "Wow, I was a really angry person back then." What I've come to realize is that I am an angry person, and that I'm likely to be an angry person for quite a long time. I've tried managing it through catharsis, but instead of draining, it just builds; I've tried swallowing...

Unrelatedly, I really like that ABCs story.

Been wasting too much time surfing the intrablags. Gonna go on a diet--an hour a day, max, for the next month.

My problem is that when I'm that tired, exercise isn't healthy for me as I have a heart problem. Maybe if I try exercising when I get home before I'm too tired it'll help.

It has been an odd night. I was asked a few days ago to attend a wine tasting dinner for a client tonight, for the purpose of snapping pictures for their website. Last night, an emergency came up that I had to drive out to State College--several hours away--to deal with. I left at 10pm, and didn't get back until ~4am. Then I got up...
