Yep, so today is our lay day down here (we don't race today,) and as a result we all took the opportunity to go out to the bars and throw down some drinks. I've done a lot of travelling and a lot of drinking, in a lot of places throughout the states, but you guys can't imagine what it's like doing that down here in the islands. It just kinda seems like there are no laws down here. I had bartenders asking me if I wanted any coke, or X, or women last night. That was just kinda fucked up. I mean usually you meet some creepy dude in a bathroom or something that offers you something, but I've never had the fucking bartenders offer that stuff to me, just as casually as if it were just another item on the menu. Those little social oddities aside, Antigua is a pretty cool little island, and I've never seen so many BBQ pits in my life! There is literally a beer and BBQ stand on EVERY corner down here, and they are side by side every 10 feet on ALL of the beaches. along with a ton of local reggae bands just playing everywhere, some with stages and amps, some just setting up in the middle of the block on the edge of street, just jamming. So now it's off to the boat to do some repairs, while the rest of the crew gets to hang out by the pool and gawk at topless women, and even the occasional completely nude woman, sunbathing on the beach.
