Yeah, so I got one of those VCR/DVD combo things for Christmas last year, and Lately it has been chewing up all my VHS tapes, but it's weird, it doesn't actually chew them up like all the way, it just like puts this funny wrinkle in the top edge of the tape, which throws the tracking off just enough that you can't quite see or hear what's happening on the screen with any kind of clarity. Now the part that makes this such a bummer is that last week I rented Dune, and since the store I went to only had it on VHS, that's what I got, but now I can't really watch it, and nobody else around here has it on DVD, so now I'm pretty frustrated! Especially since it's the sci-fi channel version, and somebody told me it's way better than the original david lynch version with sting. I'm also afraid to ask Flux which one she thinks is more worthwhile to watch, cause I know she's gonna be a book snob and say that I should read the book instead, and she's right; books are better, but I'm just lookin for something to do one of these nights this week, since homework is a little light, and I just got back into reading the Tao Te Ching for personal reading. Any thoughts guys?

BTW: the sober month is going fine, and my icediving stunt was a really bad idea! Hit a submerged piling, and shoulda broken my neck, not to mention SYH653 was right, that shit was sharp! Scraped myself all to heck!
