So after all this time it's finally over.
I guess in the end it's noone's fault. Some people just aren't able to make things work. The end can come in any number of ways, in this case the end came in a shitty one.
I plan on being a lonley drunk for a while until I have to climb out of the gutter and get my shit together. Not having a job either allows me to do this with full dedication.
She will inevitably move on with her life, which seems to be going in a good direction. She deserves that, I'm just sad I won't be there to see it.
I wish it was simple enough to put our fingers on where it all went wrong. But that doesn't really matter. I don't want to be be bitter, or resentful, or more prepared for it the next time. I just wish it hadn't happened and we could still wake up in each other's arms.
But that won't happen again.
