So. I just finished watching the Millennium Trilogy.
It makes me wish I had more time to read, because as much as I love this series, I think I'd be engrossed in the book.
I'm debating whether to watch the hollywoodized version or not.
I have a funny feeling that:
A) it will not have the same flow and rhythm
B) the nudity will be "glamorized" and not have the natural feel that the Swedish version has.
and
C) the graphic scenes will not have the same emotionally distressing impact. (there aren't too many scenes in
movies that'll make you cringe and at the same time, cheer.)
Just the posters for the American version alone tell me the directors/promoters have no fucking clue as to the soul of Lisbeth, never mind the storyline.
Sad that the other 7 books will not be seen.
Hopefully the 4th will at least turn up somewhere.

The biggest problem with American cinema is nothing original, and when they remake a foreign film EVERYTHING is lost because they don't care about the art, just the effects.
