There is something, that seems, not quite right.
I can't really put my finger on it, but it seems to be a change of energy, a subtle shift
in the human dynamics.
I pods are more coveted than life, celebrity more than spirit, destruction more than creation.
Rather than acting as equals, men(boys) seem more than content with treating women as if they owed us something, for some sin committed at a time when men would be men and women wives, together, sharing in a communal purpose rather than an individualistic goal.
I'm seeing more 20 something girls, with guys my age, not for a father figure, but as an equal, someone who knows the value of work and companionship.
There's more homerun hitters who've never felt the breeze caress their triumphant trot, more goaltenders who've never worn that game winning save as a purple and green badge, whose pain only brings a smile.
I feel sorry for those who spend more time and effort on "not just doing a task", than they would expend "just doing it".
I'm hopeful I'm wrong, and that it's just the handful I deal with.
I pray, that it comes to pass, if I'm right.
