Wow...just got some horrible news. My dad's best friend's daughter, who was born a week after my sister was born just died. She was also my sister's best friend growing up and I knew her since birth. Anyway, she died of a drug overdose. She had 2 kids and they will be motherless now.
I honestly can't say that I'm shocked by this, but it still sucks and it's still sad. I feel bad for her family that she left behindher children, her older brother, her younger sister, her nieces and nephews, her father and to a lesser extent her mother. Her mother and mine were close and weren't exactly good examples of what moms should be. There's definitely a reason that in the 80's our fathers got custody of us after the divorces.
Sometimes I think that my sister and I are the only ones who really survived our childhood and still became fully functioning members of society.
On a different notewe are looking for a new roommate.
