I am downway, way down. I haven't been this depressed for quite a while. I really do keep trying to pull myself out of it, but I can't seem to; just too much pressure without enough support lately for me to keep shrugging things off. Add to that the fact that Josh is also down and tadaa super depressed MT.

People that I thought were my friends are, wellare not quite what I thought they were. Things that are supposed to be easy aren't. Josh is still unemployed and the one really solid possibility he's competing with someone we know for. He's still actively looking and is really trying hard, but the economy is just so fucking bad right now. To make matters worse, being in the marketing field in a down economy is never a good thing. Sure, intelligent companies at least maintain solid marketing during down markets so they aren't left behind when the market eventually turns, but smart marketing professionals don't tend to leave of their own accord during those times. I even hate myself for having to continue working for the company who fucked with my livelihood when they laid Josh off. I also hate seeing them waste money in certain areas while they continue to put more people out of work.

So, I guess I'll just be down for a bit longer. At least tomorrow is Friday and I really hope that I can have a wonderful and enjoyable weekend with some fun people. We will see, but just in case I'm not going to get my hopes up as I don't think I can handle the fall.
