I can already tell that this week is going to fucking suck 
My boyfriend and I work in the same company, actually in the same department, but in very different jobs. That is until today, when he was laid off along with another guy in our department. Finding this out at 11:30am kinda ruins lunch plans. I was / am soooo pissed. He busts his ass and works over 40 hours in the office and at least 20 hours outside the office every fucking week, but they only see is job title and the fact that it is not tied to revenue.
So, his last day is Friday. Fortunately, he does get paid for his remaining 52 hours of vacation and a small severance package. The money will help pad things until he gets another job. Overall, he's lucky as it could have been a lot worse...lots of people get laid off with nothing. Besides, eventually he will get something better, plus it's probably better that we aren't both working at such a volatile company.
So, tonight is movie night. I am looking forward to being wasted...well, I'm already wasted, but not wasted with other people watching movies
