I won't be able to see the dentist until tomorrow morning, but I'll be okay now that I have discovered a miracle cure. I have been in excrutiating pain due to dry socket and no pain meds (except those that me roomie gave me) for the past few days. Well, I went to the health food store and bought some Clove Oil and put a few drops on a piece of gauze and put the gauze in the tooth socket. It burned and tasted horrible, but it took away the pain
It's been 3 hours since I used it and still no pain and it only cost me about $6.00 for .55ml. Yes it comes in a little tiny bottle, but only takes a few drops.
If you are ever in a severe amount of dental pain and can't get in to the dentist immediately, I would definitely suggest this stuff.

Whiskas will be our last resort, I don't want our kitties to become addicted to the stuff so they won't eat proper food once we get it. But you're right, at least they won't starve.
I don't know clove oil, but I'm glad you've found something to relieve your pain, tooth aches are pretty bad...
