While I was away...Part I
While I was away from SG Land I visited Chicago for the first time. It was pretty awesome.
We stayed at the InterContinental in downtown Chicago. It was an amazing hotel. Proof of it's amazingness is this picture of the bathroom.
Our 1st day there it rained and rained and we were soaked, but my new coat kept my upper torso dry and warm. BTW, isn't my new coat cute.
And Josh's new hat matches mine.
We were lucky since we arrived on Tuesday and Tuesday is free day at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Here I am with a felt suit
and lying in an oversized shell listening to the ocean and pretending to be dead
When we finally got back to the room we were both cold and wet so we had to get naked and dry. Here I am in the buff drying out on the bed

Okay, the naked pic promise was a bit misleading...get over it
The next day Josh worked and I shopped. That night we went to dinner with the guys from work. Here we are in front of the x-mas tree in the Tribune Tower.
and I know you want to see a close-up of our adorable faces, so I won't disappoint
Over the next few days we shop, eat, sample lots of chocolate and explore the city. On Friday night we decide to visit Zoo Lights at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Since we had begun to seriously miss our babies, we had to stop by the big cats and daydream of petting and cuddling them.

We also watched a guy doing some ice carving
We then sat on a bench and enjoyed some hot cocoa before returning to our room
Saturday was our final day in Chicago. I got up and got dressed and looked as adorable as ever.

It snowed quite a bit and was lovely and dreary and so very different than Florida

We finally headed to the airport where our plane departed 5 hours late. We arrived in Orlando at 5:30 am on Sunday and were glad to be home.
