I mostly just slept yesterday. The 3 days before I had only slept 2 hours so I guess I needed it, not to mention the hangover I had. I did wake up to an amazing dinner prepared by my boy JW. After dinner I went shopping for a gift for the exchange thing happening at work today. I actually kinda hate those things, they just seem to be a way to waste $10.00 at a time when money is tight for everyone, but in an office with 10 people its hard to get away with not participating. I also made a sweet potato souffl for the work thing. I prepped it last night and put it in the oven at 5:00am.
On Friday, after I made it home from work, I got a call from one of the VP saying the General Manager, who is my direct boss, didnt think my hair was appropriate for work. He said that I didnt have to change it, but that I needed to decide what I wanted more, the hair or my job. Ive had it for a month, but this is the first that anything has been said to me, plus why didnt my boss, who is everyones boss here, just say something to me herself. I just think she often handles things quite poorly.
The place I work is so stifling. The work is boring and below my skill level. We dont deal with the public, but have an extremely conservative dress code (that is probably the understatement of the day!) Even on days when we are expected to help out in the warehouse we can't wear jeans, just because she, my boss, doesn't like jeans. We all have to have the exact same desk set, which means we have to have certain colored folders in our files, certain staplers on our desks, certain colored binders for our reports, nothing personal at our desks, even the hand soap in the bathrooms have to be in our company colors. The only thing I like is the pay and my co-workers.
I am officially on the hunt for a better job. I've sent out six resumes already. I hope to find something new for the new yearwish me luck.
P.S. This is my last day with the wonderful red hairtomorrow it will be black
P.P.S. I love this lady, Norma_jean

I know this is a rude thought, but I wondered if everyone's breast are "real" or "natural-looking" and what a stir it would cause if she addressed that issue (hehe). Well, I am just saying... the issues people have with expressing onself, while other aspects can be "perfectly fake", is just beyond me...
