Well...saw the Dr on Thursday... Since I last saw him, he's been going through my chart and talking with a few other Doctors....Seems they all think that I have an insulin resistance. It does affect odd things like mood, and testosterone levels, as well as weight gain and cortisol levels. He has put me back on birth control pills, the kind I used to take long ago.... I have tied tubes, so I hadn't bothered for a long while He also added Paxil to help with the moods. He did graciously give me vicodin to help with the fibro pain...thank goodness. So hopefully I will see improvement after a while and will start feeling lots happier Better living through Chemistry....right?

As for my Son....Social security said to come back when he is 18...the resource agency said that he is not developmentally disabled enough to qualify for disability. She encouraged us to get him the neurological scan as soon as possible so we can see if the brain damage we suspect is actually physically present. Once we have that, then they will help us with medical and such....go figure.

Life is stressful as usual, but I did hie off with my daughter, her best friend, and a good friend of mine, and us four females went and played at the Hot Springs tonight. Boy! I needed that break. It is a glorious hour drive and the pools are wonderful. I came home feeling TONS better Thank goodness for pool passes and Mom-in-laws who give them as nice gifties
