k, grumpiness gone. good riddance.
oh, by the way, i can't spell for shit. phonetics is all you get.
the 4th was kewl when it finally came. ran into some problems with the band. our drummer had to go camping with his daughter that weekend. had to means had to. he forgot her birthday and easter and they're catholic. stupid bastard. anywho, he wanted one of us to pick him up from the campsite and bring him to the gig. he failed to mention the campsite was an hour and a half away, (the wrong way) from either of us who were driving. we told him we'd do it without him, but he was able to convince his mommy, (he's 38 years old) to let him borrow her car to come to the gig. it turned out great, but the 3rd was horrible due to the bickering and last minute planning.
there were two whole sides of pork ribs from costco, 9 lbs of tri tip roast, 5 lbs of shrimp and some crab legs for decoration. it was the California Freedom Cruisers 1st annual 4th party. (i never got 1st annual. you can't call it annual until the 2nd one bitches) i am a member of the club, so i provided the entertainment. well, we each got $38.00 in tips, but tips weren't mandatory -you'd just loose a leg if you didn't pitch in at least $10 per person according to tattoo man -the president. so yeah, we made out fairly well, but it was still rather discounted. we typically charge $350.00 per party. our lead guitarist got plastered. that guy was freaking drunk. on one of our last blues cover songs, he sounded like Marty McFly playing that Chuck Berry song when he was fading away, you know, before his parents kissed on the dance floor. he saved himself though, our next two songs were punk covers and the worst they sounded, the better. biggrin
Well, gotta go pick up the wife from work.
Cheers!
