i've been rather grumpy lately. trivial things have been getting under my skin. typically, i'm an easy goinng guy. the only thing i can think of that would be causing this uncharicteristic behavior is that i''m quiting cigarettes. i'm using the patch and am/have been on xanax, so i'm a little puzzled about the grumpiness. i didn't act like this during the first two weeks. i have been burning the candle at both ends. maybe it's a combination of everything.
on a lighter note, the first summer flower in our little garden started to bloom today. it's kind of funny, the other flower we planted in the same pot just barely lost it's last petal. i don't know much about flowers and neither does my wife. i'm thinking we picked two flowers that bloom in different seasons. that works for us though. this way we have a different color of flower for both seasons and at least one plant in the pot has flowers blooming on it for almost half the year.
the bird of paradise we have hasn't produced a single flower in three years. i tried to give it some bloom promoter that a grower friend of mine gave me, but it didn't work .it probably hasn't flowered yet because we have it in a pot. i don't have any access to dirt. my patio is all concrete and i don't think the hoa will let us tear it out. it looks happy and it came with a fake flower in it. it beats staring at the fence.
